PRE-POST CARE

Lost Your Confidence? We Can Help!

PRE TREATMENT FOR SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION

SHAVE YOUR HEAD BEFORE THE FIRST SESSION
  • The shock after the first session will be lessened.
  • Hair length – in most cases, hair should ideally be shaved to 1/16-1/8 inch (0-1 clipper length).
  • Hair preparation – please do not use a razor on your scalp for at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled procedure.  It is critical to see native hair so we can blend with existing hair follicles.
  • You can find all marks and scars, which you may decide to leave or cover with the treatment.
  • If you suffer from dry skin, this will give you the opportunity to moisturize properly before you undergo treatment.
  • If you are tanned, you can give your scalp some time to balance out the colors.
MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE!

HAIRLINE
  •  Before you go to your initial appointment, you really need to consider your hairline. Use a makeup pencil to mock up potential hairline positions and shapes on your scalp and take photos as reference to get the idea as close to the original as possible.
  • If you take photos, your practitioner should be able to give you the exact results that you are after.

AFTER EVERY SESSION

DAY 1-4

You should AVOID:

  • Touching, showering, or shaving the treated area.
  • Carrying out any activities that may cause excessive sweating.
  • Using moisturizer or shampoo
  • Direct sunlight
  • Swimming, sauna, or the steam room
  • Razor shaving for at least 10 days
DAY 1-4

You SHOULD:

  • Wash your head gently with cold water and gentle soap.
  • Apply moisturizer three times daily to prevent dryness and flaky skin. We recommend using a non-perfumed moisturizer such as Aveeno body moisturizer or pure coconut oil.
  • Avoid growing hair too long. If you do need to shave your head, we advise using an electric shaver only. We recommend a Remington R5 or similar shaver. No wet shaving (razor blades) for 10 days post.
SIGNS & SYMPTOMS OF INFECTION

SWELLING: A slight amount of swelling is typical for a fresh tattoo. If swelling becomes excessive, uncomfortable and you feel the pain radiating beyond the site of the tattoo, then this is a sign of infection.

FEVER: Fever is a symptom of an underlying condition, which is most often an infection. Please contact a medical provider if you think you may have a possible infection.
